It turns out our methodology for scraping the data was flawed due to the reasons added to the end of this blogpost: https://ijoca.blogspot.com/2026/08/research-prompt-kickstarters-comics-data.html Thanks to Adam Fotos for telling us that his 2017 project had been missed.
The combined result is now:
33,047 unique Kickstarter Comics projects
compared with 8,452 in the August 2026 snapshot alone
The dataset is at https://archive.org/details/kickstarter-comics-projects-260810 for anyone who just wants to download it and kick the tires.
